This place was so cool! We sat on the top floor of the cafebreria and listened to some live music. The bookstore aspect was freaking awesome, too. The cafe's atmosphere was very welcoming and there were a bunch of really deep and cool quotes everywhere. My friends and I struggled translating some of them but we got there eventually. The waiter we had was pretty patient with us, even though I had a hard time hearing him through the music. I ordered a limonada rosada, which was pretty dang good. We also got some chips and guac. After we ate we had a conversation with the live band that had performed, and they didn't kick us out even though we stayed passed closing. Real cool place for a drink and some laidback club life, if that's what you're into.

A beautiful cafe set in a bookstore. Three stories high, with each level offering something different. We found a comfortable set of chairs near the window on the second level. There was a live guitar and violin playing. The cortado I ordered was delicious. The matcha latte for my girlfriend was missing a bit of milk but was still okay. We would definitely return to try the food as it looked delicious when it was carried by us.

A true gem of a place, hybrid cafe/library where you can read a book and if you want, a great coffee and a great meal too. The enchiladas suizas here were excellent, but so is the coffee/jugos if you just want that with your book.

Coffee and a bookstore Great little tour through the bookstore as you sip your coffee. Roma Norte seems to be filled with coffee shops. They are all competing for your dollar. Well, this one is worth your time simply because you get to stroll through three flights of stairs as you take a sneak peek at their vast collection of books.

The Cafebreria El Pendulo on four levels has coffee and cakes and quirky nods to Alice through the Looking Glass. It includes a selection of English-language books.

Cafebreria El Pendulo Roma is a unique treasure nestled in the vibrant streets of Roma Norte, CDMX. Situated at Av. Alvaro Obregon 86, this delightful establishment seamlessly merges the charm of a café with the allure of a bookstore. Whether you're a bibliophile or a foodie (or both), you will find this three-story sanctuary offers something special for everyone.

As you step inside, you're greeted by an ambiance that speaks volumes. The walls are adorned with deep and thought-provoking quotes, whispering stories from the tomes they encompass. You might find yourself enjoying a live music performance on the upper floor, as Emily charmingly described, where the atmosphere is both lively and inviting. Imagine sipping a limonada rosada or a delectable cortado, while taking in the melodies that float through the air.

The café's menu showcases a delightful fusion of flavors, from classic Mexican dishes to refreshing beverages. Nura raved about their sumptuous breakfast offerings, including Mexican biscuits and perfectly cooked eggs with bacon. For those who crave something a bit lighter, you might consider their matcha latte, a hit among patrons seeking a flavorful yet healthy sip. If you're feeling indulgent, the enchiladas suizas are a must-try, as Dylan noted — a true testament to the skill behind the kitchen doors.

The attentive staff, especially Marco, is noted for their warmth and hospitality, enhancing the overall experience and making you feel at home. With comfortable seating areas spread out over three levels, Jonah's observation resonates well; whether perched in a cozy nook or on the terrace overlooking the city, every spot offers a chance to relax, read, and savor delightful dishes.

Perhaps the most captivating aspect of Cafebreria El Pendulo Roma is the community it fosters.
